What's all this then?

    1. Sheba was rescued by Dogs Deserve Better in early January 2014 with her sibling Waldo another Devore Shepherd. Waldo was practically perfect in every way and was adopted into a loving home within a month of his rehabilitation. Sheba on the other hand is almost 6 months into her rehab. She has come leaps and bounds considering the fear and anxiety she experienced when she first arrived at the Good Newz Rehab Center in Smithfield VA. Sheba loves the other dogs at the Center and enjoys being outside on pack walks. Sheba does enjoy her caretakers and will get pretty close to them as long as she doesn't suspect anyone wants to touch her or leash her. Sheba has to be sedated for vetting and bathing. Sheba improves an inch a day and everyone loves her.

  2. I am coming up on almost a year when I found out how awful OAS was and I saw a photo of a dog that I loved dearly on the OAS Life Inside the Sanctuary FB page. Amazingly he was one of seven dogs released in June 2013. I call Cream the fifth Beatle no one really knew about him because I was coerced into staying quiet as a condition of his adoption. I will post about his amazing progress here in the coming days

  3. Rogue was rescued by Wolf Spirit Sled Dig Rescue January of 2014. He came straight to me as soon as he came off the transport. He knew he was home. Rogue stayed at my hospital to detox some. Then when we brought him home hr fit in like a glove.
He got to where he wasn't eating good so I had my friend do reiki on him. After that he has been a social butterfly.
Rogue has brought us such joy here. He is so loving to us and has never bothered any other animals here. (Inc.cats) For a dog that went through 5yrs of hell he is the most forgiving of humans. He is our ray of sunshine
Hercules came in March. As a Rottweiler lover we could not believe no one had snagged him up. So me and my husband talked and things went in motion. Next thing we knew he was on transport to Vs. He is another great dog. We have not had a bit if trouble out if him. He has also fit in. We introduce him to diff.dogs and so far he has liked who he has been out with.
Hercules you could tell when he got here he hadn't seen grass for awhile. He loves run of the yard. Not one problem out of this boy. He is so sweet and loving. These dogs are loved so much . We hope they never remember the horrors from the sanctuary of hell
